Dr Erik Kloppers is a Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing at the Mediclinic Hoogland Hospital in Bethlehem.
He obtained his MBChB degree at the University of the Free State in 2012. He completed his internship training at the Universitas Academic Hospital Complex in 2014 and then spent two years working as a medical officer in Botshabelo Hospital.
He returned to the University of the Free State in 2016 to start his training in Orthopaedic Surgery, obtaining a MMed in Orthopaedic Surgery and graduated as a fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2021.
His masters research was presented at the South African Orthopaedic Association Congress in 2020 and has since been published in a peer review journal.
He started practicing at Mediclinic Hoogland in February 2022, where he manages general Orthopaedic conditions but has a passion for Hand surgery, Arthroplasty, Trauma Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Sports injuries.
His knowledge in the surgical and non-surgical management of Orthopaedic conditions combined with a dedicated team of Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and Orthotists as well as a passion for achieving excellent results ensures thorough care throughout the treatment process.
When he is not tending to his patients he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also a keen golfer and enjoys mountain biking and hunting.
